DIMEA cooperates operationally and exchanges information with other services, and in particular with the National Intelligence Service, the National Transparency Authority, the General Directorate for Consumers of the Ministry of Development and Investments, the Competition Commission and corresponding services of other states, with services of the European Union and international associations and organizations and may set up working groups or committees on matters of market control and dealing with illegal trade, including illegal electronic trade.

At the same time, it may conclude memoranda, cooperation agreements and programmatic contracts with other public or private sector bodies, as well as with international organizations for the general treatment of illegal trade and market control.
