The Interagency Market Control Unit (DIMEA) of the Ministry of Development and Investments was established by law 4712/2020 (GG Α’ 146) in order to protect the consumer from dangerous, illegal goods and services traded and offered within the country (with the exception of control products of the National Organization for Medicines (EOF) and the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) and pesticides) and the parallel information of consumers on issues concerning their safety, the formation of healthy consumer awareness and standards of correct consumer behavior conduct, related to the smooth operation of the market and ensuring healthy business competition. DIMEA receives complaints regarding the marketing and distribution of goods and services.
